ASK ME ABOUT...
...the question on the morning message and my answer.
...where we did Morning Meeting and what we did.
...counting and eating 100 things for snack.
...building with 100 cups.
...painting 100 dots.
...doing 100 exercises.
...guessing which jar had 100 items.

~MORNING MEETING~
We did Morning Meeting with Pre-K "B".  We did a greeting, counted by 10's to 100 and counted by 1's to 100.

 ~100th DAY STATIONS~
This morning, children rotated and had a turn to do 4 different activities, all involving the number 100!

At the "snack station", children were provided with 10 different foods and counted 10 pieces of each food which made 100!

At the "exercise station", children did 10 each of 10 exercises.  Each time they completed an exercise, they marked it on a recording sheet.

At the "painting station", children painted 10 dots in 10 different sections to equal 100.

At the "building station", children worked together using 100 cups to build a structure.  Some children used small cups, while other children used large cups.

 ~ESTIMATION~
Children were asked to look at 3 same-sized jars (each filled with a different item),  and determine which jar had 100 of its item.

After everyone made their guess, we counted the items in each jar.

There were 80 Legos in jar #3.

There were 67 cubes in jar #2.

There were 100 pennies in jar #1!

We played a 100th Day version of "Pin the tail on the donkey."

~CALENDAR~
We made it to the 100th day of school!

We traded in our 10 ten-rods for 1 "flat" made up of 100 squares!
