WEDNESDAY 12-14-16 and THURSDAY 12-15-16

We decorated the letter "F"with frog faces.
We met with our buddies to make snowmen.  Below is the glyph we used to create our snowmen.  They will be on display on the hallway bulletin board outside our classroom.

The children did a wonderful job singing during our Winter Program.  Thank you to Claire P. (Calvin's mom) for the photos.  She captured some great shots of the children discovering/finding their parents in the crowd!

Have a warm and wonderful holiday season!

...Pre-K Hat Day!

~PRE-K HAT DAY~
This Wednesday, we would like for all Pre-K children to bring/wear a hat to school!

 ~STAR OF THE WEEK~
Alex is our "Star of the Week"!  We learned that Alex's favorite food is a hot dog and that he wants to be an astronaut when he grows up.  Thank you for sharing your monster story, your transformer, and your photos with us, Alex!

We decorated our letter "R" with red rubber bands.
 ~EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
We made pizza today!  First, we read the story, Pete's A Pizza.  Next, we kneaded and flattened the dough to make the crust.  We added sauce, cheese and pepperoni.  After it baked, we enjoyed eating the pizza for snack.  The Pre-K children gave it a "thumbs-up".

TERRIFIC TUESDAY 12-13-16
ASK ME ABOUT...
...where I went and what I did for Work Stations.
...our guest visitor and what she read to us.

...whose birthday we celebrated.

~HOLIDAY SHARING~
Carter and his mom shared a special Christmas story with us today....Rudolph!  Carter even had a stuffed Rudolph with a nose that lights up and that can sing!  Thank you for sharing with us!

~HAPPY BIRTHDAY!~
Today we helped Robert celebrate his December birthday.  Robert's dad read the story, Fox In Socks.  We then enjoyed eating sugar cookies shaped like Robert's favorite animal--a shark!
Happy Birthday, Robert!

 ~EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
The first significant snowfall brought lots of laughter and fun to recess today!

~EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Today Mr. Ditty planned a special activity for the Pre-K students.  Working with a partner, the children were provided with different-sized marshmallows and toothpicks and were instructed to build ONE snow sculpture together.  This activity provided students with the opportunity to exercise and practice communication, teamwork and cooperative skills.
