~HEART ART~
Today we did a combined science/art activity. First, children sprinkled baking soda on to a paper heart. Next, they used droppers to squirt vinegar with food coloring on to the heart. This made a "fizzing" reaction and created beautiful colors. Once dry, we will hang the hearts in our classroom.
~OUTER SPACE~
Today we introduced our study of Outer Space with a book called, Me And My Place In Space. The children are eager to "blast off" and learn more about Outer Space!
~EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
We did some baking this afternoon and made homemade banana bread. Children enjoyed peeling and mashing the bananas; measuring and mixing ingredients; and adding the secret ingredient--chocolate chips! We will eat the banana bread tomorrow morning for snack!
