FANTASTIC FRIDAY 1-13-17

ASK ME ABOUT...
...whose birthday we celebrated.
...the playground we went to for Free Choice time.
...what I did in P.E.
the activities we did to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

~ALL SCHOOL ASSEMBLY~
On Friday, LS students participated in activities stemming from what we have been learning about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Pre-K students drew pictures of ways to make our world a better place.  Some of their ideas included hugs, love, and helping others.  In another activity, Pre-K children identified something they liked/appreciated about one of their classmates.

~OUTDOOR WEEK~
We headed outside to enjoy the sunny, dry weather!

~BIRTHDAY~
We helped Andrew celebrate his half birthday.  Andrew's mom read the story, Pout Pout Fish.  Then, we ate sugar cookies decorated with sea creatures.  Happy Half Birthday, Andrew!

~EDP~
Today was a cooking day and we made "hibernation cupcakes".  Children helped mix the ingredients;  pour the batter into the cupcake liners; and stuck a teddy graham into the batter.   The bear baked inside the cupcake, symbolizing a bear hibernating.
