THURSDAY 4-20-17

ASK ME ABOUT...
...the name for a butterfly's tongue.
...my new book from the library.
...what we did at the library with Mrs. Arner.
...what I want to wear tomorrow for Academy Spirit Day.
...showing you the body movements we do for each stage of a butterfly's life.

~FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
Children in the photos below are engaged in a game of Rush Hour, Jr.  This is a strategy game requiring problem-solving and logical-thinking skills.

Olivia and Josie enjoy listening to stories on the I-pad.

Anahí and Nola build with the butterfly and flower Connectagons.
Heath and Alex with their creation.
Carter creates with the mini Legos.
Our combined science and art activity today was using an eye dropper to put color onto a coffee filter flower.

We took advantage of the warm, sunny weather and headed outside for play.

 ~EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
On Wednesday, our cooking activity was making Oreo pudding popsicles.  Children enjoyed crushing Oreos, mixing cookie crumbs and whipped cream, and making their popsicle.

 ~LIFE CYCLE OF A BUTTERFLY~
Children came up with body movements to represent each stage of the butterfly's life cycle.  Have your child show them to you!

The story pictured below provided us with factual information about the life cycle of a butterfly.

~OREO POPSICLES~
Our Oreo pudding popsicles were a huge hit!
