WEDNESDAY 4-12-17 and THURSDAY 4-13-17

ASK ME ABOUT...
...the Work Stations I did this week.
...what Mrs. Arner read to us at the library.
...what letter I learned and practiced writing.
...the math activity we learned.
...what we learned about the life cycle of a butterfly.

Katelyn, Olivia, Carter and Heath work collaboratively on a new butterfly floor puzzle.

We learned and practiced the correct way to write a letter "J".

 ~MATH ACTIVITY~
Using ten-frame cards and small manipulatives, children were introduced to a hands-on addition activity.  This activity will be available at Math Magic for use during Free Choice.

~EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Wednesday
We did a mindfulness activity with Mr. Ditty.  Since the weather was nice, we hiked outside and found a (dry) spot to sit down.  Then, with our eyes closed and our voices off, we listened to the sounds we could hear.

 ~Thursday~
Today was a Discovery Day and we made chalk!  First, we looked at a wordless story with wonderful illustrations of children's art work with sidewalk chalk.  Next, we mixed plaster of paris, water and paint.  We are waiting for it to harden into chalk so we can use it!
