~OUTER SPACE~
We joined our 3rd grade buddies to do some Space riddles!
~WORK STATIONS~
We introduced new work stations on Wednesday!
At the Writing Station, children will work with Space words.
In one activity, Space words are hanging around the classroom for children to locate and write on a recording sheet.
Another Space word activity is spelling Space words using letter tiles.
Children open up a "frog" to find letter tiles.
Using the letter tiles, children spell the Space word that correlates with the picture on a recording sheet.
Children play tic-tac-toe at the Games Station.
At the Creation Station, children make their own rocket and then test it out!
It's "Rhyme Time" at the ABC Station! Children think of rhymes for the words pictured below and then draw a picture of the rhyme.
At Math Magic, children complete a "rocket count-down".
Using ten-frames, children order them from 10 to 0.
At the Fine Motor Station, children use high-lighters to "rainbow" write their last names.
At the Discovery Station, children use a magnifying glass to locate and record either letters or words.
In the Book Nook, children choose and listen to stories on the I-Pad.
~STORY~
Children enjoyed listening to this story today--filled with rhyme and repetition. Be sure to ask your child what the girl was doing in the story and how the story ends!

~EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Wednesday was a Discovery Day! We took advantage of the sunny, warm weather and took a nature hike. The first stop was our class tree that we have been observing this year. We saw some buds, but no leaves yet! Our walk continued as we collected nature items and had a "picnic snack" on the Carlin Athletic Fields.

Today was a swimming day! Last week, a senior Academy student started helping out with our Pre-K swimming class. The children are enjoying having "Mr. Will" swim with them!
