~LIFE CYCLE OF A BUTTERFLY~

We reviewed what we have been learning about moths and butterflies--their similarities and differences-- when the children completed their own Venn diagram.

We did a lesson on symmetry--what it means and what it looks like. 

 We then put our symmetry skills to practice by working with a partner to complete the other half of the butterfly.

 In Friday's cooking class, we made a healthy snack--fruit salsa!  The children helped cut up strawberries, kiwi and apples.  Next, we mixed the fruit with fresh lemon juice (squeezed by the children) and a little sugar.  After refrigerating for some time, we enjoyed eating fruit salsa with cinnamon pita chips!  A yummy AND healthy snack!
