WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY 5-24-17

~OUTDOOR WEEK~
DAY #3

ASK ME ABOUT...
...where we said the Pledge of Allegiance.
...where we did our morning meeting.
...what we did during our library time.
...where we ate snack.
...what we did in Music.
...visiting first grader authors and listening to books they wrote.
...why we had to do Free Choice inside, instead of outside.

~MORNING MEETING~
We held Morning Meeting on the football field!  First, we said the pledge using the flag on the flag pole.

Next, we greeted everyone with a magnifying glass saying, "It's nice to see you.".

Finally, we played the game, "Keep the Potato in the Oven".

 We at snack outside.

 ~AMAZING AUTHORS~
Today we had the pleasure of visiting a first grade classroom to listen to books/stories written by first grade authors!

~FREE CHOICE~
We were set up to go outdoors for Free Choice and, as soon as we stepped outside, the rain came down.  So, we headed inside.  Children could choose to make a butterfly feeder.  If your child brings home a butterfly feeder, help him/her find a place to hang it outside.  Next, cut up fruit (oranges, melon, bananas, even rotten fruit) and place it in the tray of the butterfly feeder.  Then, wait for butterflies to come to the feeder!

~EDP~
Today Mr. Ditty visited our classroom.
Ask me how I had to move my body when Mr. Ditty played the drum.
