MARVELOUS MONDAY 10-17-16

ASK ME ABOUT...
...what I collected and saw on our hike.
...the tools I used on our hike.
...what I did in Spanish.
...where I went and what I did for Work Stations.
...the new password.

~OUTDOOR WEEK~
On Monday morning, we headed outside right after our Morning Meeting in search of nature objects.  We used magnifying glasses and binoculars during our hike.

During our hike we saw animal tracks!

Check out this tree full of Fall colors!

We investigated and explored some cat tails.

Blowing cat tail seeds....

Enjoying our daily snack outside!

We even had Spanish class outside!

~WORK STATIONS~
We took a little break for the outdoors to learn about and do our new Work Stations.

During this new rotation of Work Stations, children are "assigned" a specific task when they visit a specific station.  The assigned task is indicated by a green star.
At the Fine Motor Station, children are doing a "punching" activity using an oversized thumb tack.

At the Sensory Tub, children are exploring and identifying magnetic and non-magnetic objects.

At the Easel Station, children paint with watercolors.
At Math Magic, children practice their counting and one-to-one correspondence by placing the indicated number of seeds on to the pumpkin.
At the Listening Station, children choose stories to listen to on a recording.
At the ABC Station, partners work together to put letters A through Z in alphabetical order.
At the Writing Station, children complete pre-writing tasks.
At the Games Station, children play the game, Colorama.
