ASK ME ABOUT...
...what I did in Spanish (Wednesday)
...what I did in Music (Thursday)
...the letter we decorated.
...the story, The Squiqqly Story.
...how many days we've been in school.
...how we celebrated Zero the Hero Day!

 ~FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
Lily and Layla work cooperatively and with perseverance to complete a 48-piece puzzle!

Carter and Ella practice their artistic skills at the easel with watercolor paints.

 ~ZERO THE HERO DAY~
Today (Thursday) we celebrated our 30th day of school!  We have filled three ten-frames with 30 star stickers and have 3 ten-rods in our pocket chart.  Lily and her mom helped us celebrate by providing us with beads to make a bracelet.  Thank you for a fun project!

 ~LETTER SOUNDS~
This week we started decorating the letters of the alphabet which are hanging in our room.  To help us learn and remember the sound a letter makes, the children attach something to the letter that begins with the sound of the letter.  Today we decorated the letter "C" with candles.
 ~PRE-K AUTHORS~
Today we read a story about a young boy's experience writing his first story/book.  From the story, we learned that when you create a book, you are the "boss" of your story.  We brainstormed ideas for stories the Pre-K children could create in Pre-K.  Beginning next week, children will be able to create stories at our Writing Station during Free Choice time.
